Concept to Launch, Branding
As the name suggests, the online marketplace allows people to bag in workers for their housing or construction related tasks. Households and organizations can post about their problem or requirements. The qualified tradesmen bid quotes on the job, and the customer makes a choice. The tradesmen get contracts and the customers get their job done.
Bag a Builder has been a unique project because it targeted three different user profiles – the homeowners who want to carry our household repairs, organizations who have long-term construction needs and tradesmen with varied skill set and qualifications seeking work. This could make the user-experience confusing and tedious.
It all started from an abstract idea. We carried out several rounds of brainstorming, research, and analysis for turning that concept into a website architecture. Building up on our belief to keep things simple, we catered all three user-profiles by strategic information architecture. We used ASP.NET to create the online portal.
